Old World’s Commitment to You During the Covid-19 Pandemic

To Our Valued Customers, Suppliers & Partners:

This is a challenging time for all of us as the whole world continues to grapple with the dramatic changes brought about by the COVID-19 virus. Unprecedented uncertainty and ambiguity can bring out the best in people, from the unsung heroes in the healthcare profession to the trucking community helping to keep essential goods on the shelves. Everyone has a vital role to play during this crisis, including Old World Industries (OWI). For over 47 years, OWI has always been there when you’ve needed us most. We continue to be committed to deliver against our promises to you during this critical hour.

Logistics Commitment

As America’s leading supplier of anti-freeze/coolant, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and automotive lighting products for professional installers, and as a major supplier for lubricants and car care products, OWI is intensely focused on the rising concern of COVID-19 and its potential impact on our supply chain. OWI’s operations and its product lines are considered “essential” businesses under federal and state directives. As such, we are open, fully operational and committed to meeting your demands during these uncertain times.

Commitment to Safety

To prepare for the challenges ahead and to serve the needs of our customers, OWI is following all guidelines and recommendations set forth by local, state and federal government agencies, including renewed cleanliness standards, to ensure essential industries, including transportation, continue to operate safely. Our strong national manufacturing and distribution model allows us to rapidly reallocate raw materials and production time to multiple locations in reaction to any specific geographic shutdowns due to COVID-19.

Commitment to Our Employees and Our Communities

The strength of any organization is its people and OWI employees have risen to the challenges caused by this crisis. Every one of them is dedicated to their role in support of our partners and with an increasing spirit of community – neighbors helping neighbors working towards the common good of our nation and our world. All non-essential personnel based out of our Northbrook, Illinois, headquarters are working from home, while our essential warehouse and manufacturing facility employees are taking extra precautions to remain safe, while maintaining efficiency, effectiveness and Old World’s quality standards.

Going Forward

OWI is prepared to meet this current challenge to keep America running. As we move forward together, we ask for increased communication and collaboration and, in return, we offer you the same. We do not know when this crisis will end and how our lives will be changed when it does. But what we do know is that we are OWI – family-owned, with a legacy of family values and a cherished relationship with you, our trusted partners.

We will continue to adapt and transform with the rapidly changing marketplace and we’re confident that we will get through this together – emerging stronger as partners and stronger as a community.

Thank you for your partnership.
