John Force and the BlueDEF PLATINUM Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car team lead John Force Racing with a semifinal finish at the NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, California while Brittany Force and Robert Hight’s weekends ended in the quarterfinals.

Sixteen-time Funny Car World Champion John Force qualified twelfth on the tricky Pomona track.  In the opening round, Force defeated Matt Hagan then Cruz Pedregon in the quarterfinals to match up with the eventual race winner Ron Capps in the semifinals where he came up short in advancing to the finals.

Entering race day from the number one position in Top Fuel, Brittany Force advanced to the quarterfinals, but dropped a cylinder to run only 4.013-seconds against round winner Justin Ashley’s 3.912.

Coming off a win at the Sonoma Nationals, Robert Hight started race day from the number two position.  In eliminations, Hight defeated Terry Haddock in the opening round to face J.R. Todd in the quarterfinals.  Both Funny Car champions would run identical elapsed times of 4.192-seconds, but Todd had the starting line advantage and took the win.

The John Force Racing drivers will resume at the Menards NHRA Nationals at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kansas, August 13-15th.
