John Force and the BlueDEF PLATINUM™ Chevrolet Camaro team took home their 152nd Funny Car victory at the Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina while in Top Fuel, Brittany Force came within inches of joining her father in the winner’s circle.
After earning his 161st career number one qualifying position, Force ran the quickest runs of both the first and second round quads to advance to the final round. Force’s 152nd career win and his second at the zMAX Dragway four-wide event came after he defeated runner-up J.R. Todd, Alexis DeJoria, and Cruz Pedregon.
In Top Fuel, Brittany Force also started from the number one position for the 22nd time in her career. She continued her record setting ways with a track record 333.44 mph speed in the opening quad, then advanced to her 24th final round after another stout performance in the second quad. In the finals, Force would lay down a 3.723-second run but came up short to race winner Steve Torrence.
Robert Hight and his team struggled in Charlotte, starting from the number 15 position. After smoking the tires, Hight’s day ended early, finishing third in the opening quad.
The John Force Racing’s next stop is the NHRA SpringNationals at Houston Raceway Park, May 21-23rd.
